colorPol® VISIR - a new broadband polarizer covering the VIS and the NIR spectral range

Based on its own
colorPol®-technology CODIXX introduces some new polarizers on the occasion of the LASER 2005.
The polarization of light becomes more and more important in the optical analytic and significant measurement technique. The quality of the polarizer often decides the success of the devices. Consequentially the requirements to the polarizer are growing continuously.CODIXX has faced up to the challenge and makes available its new
colorPol®-polarizers meeting a lot of the special requirements of such applications.
The continual improvement of the
colorPol®-technology based on prolated nano particles in soda-lime glass results now in a new high contrast broadband polarizer covering the wavelength range 550 nm - 1500 nm.
This unique product comes with a contrast ratio better than 10
4 for the whole spectral range and a high transmittance combined with the well established properties of all
colorPol®-products like the high operating temperature range of - 50°C up to +400°C, the resistance against UV radiation, extreme climate conditions and almost all solvents, bases, acids and distilled water.
Whereas the most other polarizers are available for the VIS or NIR range only,
colorPol® VISIR covers both ranges and meets a lot of customer requirements. As usual, this product is available in the well known standard dimensions and in the so called HQ version with a thickness of 2 mm and a low wavefront distortion (<lambda/4 @ 633nm). colorPol VISIR offers significant advantages in terms of handling, costs and functionality. <br />
Besides this new polarizer, CODIXX is introducing the broadband antireflection coating for the most of standard products at the Laser 2005. So the established standard
colorPol® VIS-polarizers and the NIR-polarizers are offered with an AR coating with higher transmittance values combined with low reflectance now.
The introduction of the new products is a further step to achive CODIXX“s main goal of offering appropriate products for each customer“s challenge.
