YOU ARE HERE: POLARIZER - POLARIZER SUMMARY
colorPol® polarizer in wavelength based polarizer chart survey
Hint: Hold the mouse pointer over a blue bar to see typical transmission value of the corresponding product. Left click a bar with your mouse to download the data sheet of the product as PDF file.
Each colorPol® polarizer is characterized by its maximum of polarization and the contrast ratio in the guaranteed wavelength range (>= 1,000:1, >= 10,000:1 and >= 100,000:1, indicated in the product name by C3, C4 and C5 respectively).
The wavelength of maximum polarization and contrast of a polarizer is determined by the chosen technological parameters. The performance of a custom-made polarizer can be optimized to a customer's requirements by trading off transmittance and extinction ratio at a given wavelength.
The wavelength range of effective polarization spans to the UV region (colorPol® UV: 340 nm to 415 nm) and the visible and near infrared region (colorPol® VIS and colorPol® IR: 450 to 5,000 nm). Standard dimensions range from 5 x 5 mm2 up to 50 x 30 mm2. Various thicknesses are available ranging from 0.2 to 2 mm raw or laminated on a carrier glass.
Other dimensions and shapes are available on request.
AR-coatings: colorPol® polarizers can be delivered with antireflex coatings.
